But today a new newslet­ter arrived and it con­tained news about updat­ing the plu­g­in and adding AI func­tions to it.

I’ll imme­di­ate­ly make a reser­va­tion that the AI func­tion is avail­able only to own­ers of Pre­mi­um, i.e., the paid ver­sion of the plu­g­in. Well, since I hap­pen to be like this, let’s try what kind of AI is there.

It’s strange, but late­ly, for unknown rea­sons, I began to delve deep­er into SEO. And now I’m already mak­ing, so to speak, sit­u­a­tion­al pub­li­ca­tions. Usu­al­ly, I nev­er tried to catch the hype by pub­lish­ing on the day of the event. This time I also think there won’t be any hype, but I’m still writ­ing about it.

Does it work with Cyrillic?

The first thing that came to my mind after the thought that I should try this AI as part of Yoast SEO was that it would not work with Cyril­lic, but then I imme­di­ate­ly remem­bered that I now have a cropped ver­sion of the site in Eng­lish, which is exact­ly what I need devel­op. That is, the test must take place no mat­ter what.

Installation and activation

Next, I think I need to update the plu­g­in, I go to the admin pan­el and go to plu­g­ins, and every­thing is emp­ty there, no hints about the need for an update or any­thing like that. A minute lat­er I remem­ber that I have a mul­ti­site and go to the mul­ti­site plu­g­ins sec­tion. Hur­ray, there is a sug­ges­tion to upgrade to ver­sion 21.0. Updated.

And final­ly, mag­ic hap­pens, which these days won’t sur­prise any­one. The plu­g­in sug­gests a title based on the text of the pub­li­ca­tion. It’s nice that it also adds vari­ables. It is pos­si­ble that the pres­ence of vari­ables dur­ing AI gen­er­a­tion is influ­enced by the fact that they are present before gen­er­a­tion. In terms of qual­i­ty, I chose an option from the top five. Either I’m already tired or he’s just fine.

Well, not bad, not bad, but what about the descrip­tion? And there every­thing is exact­ly the same, but specif­i­cal­ly in my case there were no vari­ables and the first five options were with a fair amount of non­sense. I clicked gen­er­ate more options, the plu­g­in thought and first gen­er­at­ed a time­out error (beta zhezh). And then I clicked again and it gave me options that I could choose from.

Conclusion and conclusions

To write that arti­fi­cial intel­li­gence is pen­e­trat­ing deep­er and deep­er into our lives, I think, would be the height of banal­i­ty. In gen­er­al, any con­clu­sions will be banal because noth­ing spe­cial, of course, has hap­pened now.

But I will repeat what I am sure many have already for­mu­lat­ed and writ­ten, name­ly — there is no point in run­ning around the Inter­net and jump­ing from site to site in order to keep up with the top­ic of AI. I’m sure many have seen enough of social media. net­works with the next selec­tion of neur­al net­works will def­i­nite­ly go check how it real­ly works. AI will come on its own and will come to where peo­ple are already work­ing and to those famil­iar pro­grams in which every­one is already sitting.

I’ve already got­ten into Pho­to­shop, and I think Fig­ma too, but what next? Able­ton, What­sApp, YouTube, VK and so on…

What about AI specif­i­cal­ly in Yoast SEO? In the first test, I was not able to feel the poten­tial resource sav­ings and process accel­er­a­tion. Even con­sid­er­ing that I don’t par­tic­u­lar­ly like writ­ing and don’t know how. But I’m sure this is just the begin­ning. Here is a but­ton for AI gen­er­a­tion of titles and descrip­tions for all entries in the back­ground, give me two. And no one yet said that we should stop only at the title and descrip­tion (hehe).
